We represent the School to strive for good results in every competition we participate in and aim to become the champion team in the district. To achieve this goal, we train hard every single time. Aside from training for winning, we also train for building a team. We compete as a team rather than as five individual players on the court. All members should cooperate with each other at all times, covering mistakes and creating opportunities for teammates. After all, basketball is a team sport. Team spirit should be our first priority.
Date: Boys (Tuesday and Thursday), Gilrs (Monday and Saturday)
Time: 1615-1830, 0800-1030(Sat)
Venue: School Basketball Court
Unlike some other secondary school basketball teams which may be focusing on fitness training, our team focuses on the training of techniques such as footwork, dribbling, passing, and shooting. This is because of our coach and we believe in the importance of laying good foundations by learning the basics. Good fitness may translate into victories for now, but fundamentally sound basics bring lasting success. Besides, our coach expects us to get ready physically on our own initiative to cope with the intensity of matches, as his responsibility as a coach is to teach us things about basketball instead of watching our sprint or do push-ups.
