Congratulations to Cheng Pak-hay Haydn (F.6) for representing Hong Kong and winning the first prize in the semi-final round and the Bronze Medal in the final round of the 40th Chinese Physics Olympiad (CPhO).
The National High School Physics Competition is a popular extracurricular academic competition voluntarily participated in by provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities under the leadership of the China Association for Science and Technology and organized by the Chinese Physical Society. Based on the overall scores in the theoretical and experimental rounds of the repechage, outstanding students recommended by the competition committees of provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities are selected to participate in the final round. The final round is composed and judged by the National Competition Committee. Each final round awards approximately 50 first prizes, 150 second prizes, and 200 third prizes. In addition, special awards are given for overall best performance, best theoretical performance, best experimental performance, and best performance by a female student.
